Mink Musculature

Human and mink muscle structure and function have many anatomical similarities. But mink musculature differ in proportion. Minks, and members of the weasel family have long slender bodies, which is physical adaptation that enables them to crawl through tiny holes of their den or of the borrows of their prey. The muscles of them mink are longer and thinner than those of humans. The muscles of the mink's limbs are a lot shorter than those compared to ours, probably because we have to rely more on them. Their muscles are also a lot leaner.
